The Flight Plan Project aims to return birds seized from trafficking to nature in registered release areas in the state of São Paulo. Developed through an agreement with the São Paulo State Secretariat for the Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (SEMIL) and adhering to technical and scientific criteria, the project aims to release and monitor birds seized from the illegal wildlife trade in the state of São Paulo. We operate through the SAVE Brasil Release Program within SEMIL, registering private properties as Release and Monitoring Areas and mediating the releases. Currently, there are already 10 registered areas in the state. The birds released by the Project come from CETRAS SP and the Wildlife Division of the São Paulo City Hall's Green and Environment Secretariat, and undergo clinical and behavioral examinations before being released.
