Birds are essential for the balance of ecosystems.
But they often go unnoticed in everyday life. With
With over 10,000 species worldwide, they beautify our skies and play fundamental roles such as seed dispersal, pollination, and pest control. More than just beautiful and inspiring, birds are valuable indicators of environmental health, reflecting the balance of habitats.
To strengthen the connection between people, nature, and conservation, SAVE Brasil, in partnership with eBird (Cornell Lab of Ornithology) and with the support of the University of São Paulo (USP), is launching the 1st Training Program in Bird Conservation and Observation.

The 1st Training in Bird Conservation and Observation is for you! Whether you're a beginner or a nature enthusiast, this experience combines theory and practice to empower you to identify species, understand their behaviors, and use tools like eBird and Merlin to record your observations. The in-person event will take place in São Paulo on April 12th and 13th. Participants will receive a certificate and course materials .

Natural history of birds;
Taxonomy, migration, and behavior;
Ecology of birds and their role in ecosystems;
Citizen Science with eBird and Merlin;
Bird conservation in Brazil;
Rehabilitation, reintroduction and monitoring of jacutingas (A burria jacutinga )
From 7am to 12pm
Field trip for bird watching.
Species identification and logging using eBird.
