This programme aims to promote the conservation of globally threatened species, which are not embraced by the Important Bird Areas Programme, within a landscape management approach. Their conservation demands some particular measures that are addressed by specific projects. Some of these projects are:

Elaboration of the Action Plan for Albatrosses and Petrels and development of the Brazilian Seabirds Campaign (in partnership with IBAMA and Projeto Albatroz)
Elaboration and implementation of the Action Plan for the Brazilian Merganser Mergus octosetaceus (in partnership with IBAMA and other NGOs, in particular the Instituto Terra Brasilis)
Elaboration and implementation of the Action Plan for the Red-billed Curassow Crax blumenbachii (in partnership with IBAMA and Instituto de Estudos Socioambientais do Sul da Bahia - IESB)
Working group for the recovery of the Alagoas Curassow Mitu mitu (in partnership with IBAMA)
Inventory of the threatened birds in the Pernambuco Center (in partnership with Sociedade Nordestina de Ecologia–SNE)
Support for the Study on Geographic Distribution and Habitat of the Fringe-backed Fire-eye Pyriglena atra (Swainson, 1825; Aves: Thamnophilidae), Scenario of Opportunities and Priority Management and Conservation Actions.
