The Sociedade para a Conservação das Aves do Brasil (SAVE Brasil) is a non-governmental organisation, based in São Paulo capital, with a special focus on the conservation of Brazilian birds. SAVE Brasil is part of the BirdLife International Partnership, which operates in over one hundred countries and territories worldwide, and shares its conservation priorities, policies and programmes, exchanging information, skills and experiences to implement the alliance's global objectives at the national level, addressing the needs of the Brazilian reality.

In Brazil, BirdLife International initiated a Country Programme in 2000, when realizing the need of taking urgent actions in certain areas to avoid the extinction of critically endangered species. In 2004, the BirdLife International Brazil Programme became the Sociedade para a Conservação das Aves do Brasil, the representative of BirdLife in Brazil.

Following BirdLife International principles, SAVE Brasil acts through a participatory approach and develops and implements conservation strategies and actions in conjunction with local and national organizations, governmental bodies, community leaders, researchers and other institutions and members of the civil society, aiming to strengthen their capacity as a way to secure the continuation of the initiatives in the long term.
